SUNDAY MORNING

Usually Sundays are for lazying around. But, it so happend that I found my room a bit more shuffled up than usual. May be, I’ll just make it a bit liveable. Cleaning the shelves and cupboard is boring job. So I put on some music to keep me moving. Ironically, cleaning up my place was a different experiecne in itself.

As I started to empty the contents of the cupboard, the first I found was a box of burfi which I had forgot to throw away had become the sweet home of a thousand rd ants. The moisture in the cupboard had completedly dampened my collection of stamps and was finely dressed with a cotton wool of fungus on the surface. A good lesson I did get, donot keep the damp corners stuffed up and ofcourse, hope I donot forget to get some naphthalene balls. Beneath the newspapers what I found was aleter from my friend, an old letter it was. He is in the defence and his letters are usually pages out of his daily diary. Its long since I have writeen him and I ought to keep this letter safe, lest I hose his address.

Half of the table drawers were filled with stuff that I never did need and out I therew them. Well, whats this over here, the colored feathers of the chickens, which I had, so safely preserved, is here in the table draw. So silly that I had to shout at the sweeper who cleaned my bookshelf.

And so, after a couple of hours, I got the whole trash into the bin and here I am in my temporaryly neat room. I find my room a bit more spacious now and over that I am happy to have found many things that I had preserved so safe that I forgot where I placed them. Wellm, I got a letter from a friend, a couple of greeting cards which I hadent used, my old hindi dictionary which will be very useful for my exams, partly ant eatern chocolate bars, the parker pen presented by dad, color feathers, my sweat band, two shuttle cocks in my old barrell and the satisfaction that I could make something useful of my Sunday.

Ok then, I’ll reply to my friend, hey, I think it ‘ll be better if I sent him that sorry card I had found. Once in a a while I just hope I find a couple of hundred rupee notes as i clean my shelf but unfortunately it never did happend any way bye for now.
